Food Empowerment Project (F.E.P.)’s annual School Supply Drive for the children of farm workers is from Monday, June 20, through Sunday, July 17.

The farm workers who pick our food are victims of an unjust system that benefits corporations over workers, profit over people, and greed over families. These workers strive to get by on very little income, and parents and grandparents often cannot afford to buy their children the school supplies they need.

While F.E.P. works in other ways to challenge this system, we want to do our best to give farm workers the support they deserve. We know that this is a lengthy process, and we don’t have time to spare to get their children the support they rightly deserve.

F.E.P. does not see this as an act of charity but as a way to help right an injustice that is taking place against farm workers, and it also gives us the ability to thank them for feeding all of us.

We are working again with Movimiento Cultural de la Unión Indígena and with our contacts Lizbeth Valdez and Joanna Lemus, and donations will be given to the children of farm workers in Sonoma, Monterey, and Tulare Counties as well as others in the Central Valley of California.

Below is a list of the school supplies that are needed. Please donate only NEW school supplies.
