Food Empowerment Project's webinar:

The Embodiment of Injustice: The Dairy Industry

RECAP

Overview

On June 29th, Food Empowerment Project wrapped up our webinar, “The Embodiment of Injustice: The Dairy Industry.” This free virtual event brought forward the overlooked injustices embedded in the dairy industry, including the legacy of colonization, animal exploitation, worker mistreatment, and environmental racism.

This event was made for vegans and non-vegans alike! Attendees had the opportunity to hear experts who offered a wealth of insight on the dairy industry. We hope attendees left feeling empowered and to dictate for themselves how they feel about dairy.

Viewers gained a deeper understanding of our food choices and discovered the positive impacts we can make on animals, our health, and the environment.

In addition, viewers watched videos put together by the F.E.P. team that gave a closer glimpse into the injustices caused by the dairy industry, including how dairy has infiltrated our communities, school system, and well-being with its misleading propaganda, the devastating impacts of environmental racism, the injustices farm workers face, and highlighting how cows are in a more natural environment. To finish it off, attendees left with some cooking inspo as we showed them a variety of dairy-free dishes!

Thank you to everyone who joined us! In case you missed it or want to watch it again, watch the recorded webinar below:
