Many have spotted an issue and are powerfully organizing to ensure that the problem does not continue to oppress the next generation. Every day, youth take selfless steps forward, while many world leaders, corporations, and antiquated social practices attempt to drag them and their progress back. Yet, still, youth rise.
We just finished our 10th annual School Supply Drive for Children of Farm Workers. We are so grateful to everyone who donated, whether you’re a first-time supporter or a recurring donor of this event. Your contribution allows us to keep doing this every year. We were excited to give backpacks to farm worker families in our local community along the central coast in the San Luis Obispo area!

F.E.P. just concluded our first-ever Youth Scholarship Contest! For this contest, youth from across the country submitted writing and art pieces to convey the importance of worker justice in our food system and reasons why moving toward a vegan food system will create a positive change for all. First-place winners receive a $500 scholarship, and second-place winners receive a $300 scholarship.
Sea life not sea food! If you aren’t vegan but get upset (rightly so!) when you see images of whales, sea turtles, and other critters getting caught in fishing nets, why not give up eating those who live in the sea? These nets don’t discriminate, so save them all by not eating anyone. All animals, including lobsters and fishes, have individual personalities and a right to live their lives! Already vegan? We all need to do our part. Take some time to pick up waste along the creeks, rivers, and the ocean. We all can do more!

Fifteen years of advocating for access to healthy foods. Fifteen years of fighting for farm workers' rights. Fifteen years of raising awareness about the worst forms of child labor in the chocolate industry and holding corporations accountable. Fifteen years of connecting these issues, creating tools for change, and empowering people to make a difference.
We just unveiled two billboards—one in Oakland, California, and the other in Madison, Wisconsin—to highlight the dairy industry’s impacts on non-human animals, human health, and the environment, as well as its legacy of colonization. The billboards, which read “Got Colonization?,” direct viewers to our website gotcolonization.com, where they can learn more and order our free anti-dairy booklet.
