Ingredients:
- ½ cup agave or maple syrup
- One and ½ teaspoons of crushed red pepper flakes
- ¼ teaspoon hot sauce of your choice
- Squeeze of lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook on low heat until simmering. Stir frequently.
- Once it has been simmering for about a minute, remove from heat and let cool for ten minutes.
- Pour it through a sieve to strain out large pepper flakes.
- Store in the fridge in an airtight jar or container for up to a month. Storing in the fridge will allow it to become a thicker consistency!
- Use as a drizzle on top of salads, toast, or to coat veggies and tofu!
Notes: Use light agave nectar or maple syrup for the best flavor! Add more hot sauce if you’d like it to be spicier.
