Over the past few years, Food Empowerment Project has been taking a critical look at access to healthy foods in the vibrant community of Vallejo, CA.
On Sunday, July 16, we hosted the second Vallejo Healthy Food Fest, where we served a 100% vegan meal to almost 400 people in attendance! In addition to the delicious food, there was a variety of speakers, art, music, and performances.
And, just like our first event in 2016, we continued to create enthusiasm and increase demand for change while sharing the message that healthy foods are not only delicious but should be accessible to everyone in Vallejo!
