Compassionate Californians: If you use PG&E, they need to hear from you!

PG&E is requesting the authority to have rate-payers cover the additional costs of the Merced Dairy Biomethane Pilot Project.

We know that animal-based dairy is bad for the animals, local communities, the environment, and is a major driver of the pollution that causes climate change. Instead of directly dealing with the problem of the pollution that comes from the dairy industry by removing the source and instead transitioning to plant-based milks, they want us to help fund this digester, which in essence works best with a large amount of cows!

This means more cows will suffer and communities will have to deal with other forms of pollution caused by the industry! It won’t be the leadership of PG&E who lives here! Merced is predominantly a Latinx community that is already heavily impacted by environmental racism.

We need you to speak out and say NO to this misguided plan that means everyone will pay: the animals, communities, the environment, and you!

It can be as short as you like! Just make sure your voice is heard.

Thank you!
