Inspired by the work of Toronto Pig Save, Food Empowerment Project (F.E.P.) coordinates monthly vigils to draw attention to Petaluma Poultry’s slaughterhouse located at 2700 Lakeville Highway.

Our goal is to bear witness to the suffering of animals in transport and at slaughterhouses and to remind those who are passing by that animals are being killed behind those walls.
We also hand out whistleblower cards to workers to show our solidarity with them for what they have to endure.
We want to encourage people to take a step to end the needless suffering of animals, protect the environment, improve their health, and not support the suffering of human animals in these facilities by going vegan.
